Elon Musk Says He Met With Tim Cook at Apple HQ

Elon Musk said he met with Tim Cook at Apple’s headquarters and “resolved the misunderstanding” over Twitter’s potential removal from the app store.

“Thanks @tim_cook for taking me around Apple’s beautiful HQ,” Musk tweeted Wednesday afternoon before later writing, “Good conversation. Among other things, we resolved the misunderstanding about Twitter potentially being removed from the App Store. Tim was clear that Apple never considered doing so.”

The meeting came just two days after Musk claimed that Apple had “threatened” to pull Twitter from its iOS app store.

“Apple has also threatened to withhold Twitter from its App Store, but won’t tell us why,” the Tesla CEO wrote Monday, also claiming that “Apple has mostly stopped advertising on Twitter.”

Kim Kardashian Is Outraged by Balenciaga Campaigns, Is Re-Evaluating Their Relationship

Kim Kardashian broke her silence Sunday night about the recent Balenciaga campaign that drew accusations of child sexualization, saying in a lengthy statement on Instagram that she is “disgusted and outraged” and is “currently re-evaluating” her relationship with the brand.

“I have been quiet for the past few days, not because I haven’t been disgusted and outraged by the recent Balenciaga campaigns, but because I wanted an opportunity to speak to their team to understand for myself how this could have happened,” Kardashian, who has long been associated with the fashion house from Spain, said.

She continued: “As a mother of four, I have been shaken by the disturbing images. The safety of children must be held with the highest regard and any attempts to normalize child abuse of any kind should have no place in our society — period.”

Balenciaga Sues Production Company Behind BDSM Campaign

Balenciaga has filed a $25 million lawsuit against the production companies responsible for an ad campaign that featured children holding teddy bears wearing BDSM gear and, in one case, an “unsettling document,” drawing accusations of child sexualization.

On Friday, the luxury fashion house submitted papers to the Supreme Court of the State of New York naming set designer Nicholas Des Jardins, his company of the same name and North Six Inc. as defendants.

The brand seeks redress for “extensive damages” to its reputation caused by the Spring 2023 campaign. After the photos went viral, Balenciaga removed the images and issued an apology via Instagram.

Adam Driver Fears Death in Baumbach’s Netflix Drama

It’s not hard to see why Noah Baumbach, our foremost movie satirist of the body neurotic, would have Don DeLillo’s 1986 novel “White Noise” in his sights for adaptation — especially so after the pandemic seemed to bring stark new resonance to the author’s prescient, all-too-human black comedy about a dysfunctional family in distracted, anxious, consumerist America enduring an “airborne toxic event.”

What’s harder to accept about this ideal blend of filmmaker and material — in a way, rounding out a trilogy about cracked-but-surviving families following Baumbach’s “The Meyerowitz Stories” and “Marriage Story” — is that it’s impressive in its filmic warp and woof but falls short getting under our skin the way the novel immortalized with joking seriousness our collective “brain-fade” and how each of us handle the fear of death.

Although it starts with a Baumbach-added, DeLillo-appropriate prologue in which Don Cheadle’s liberal arts college professor Murray waxes
